What do you write in a statutory declaration for travel exemption in?

The facts. Just the facts, maam, as the old police TV series would have it. A statutory declaration (or a stat dec) is you declaring the facts as best you know them. You then get the declaration witnessed by a person authorised to do so - theres a long list of these, and a Justice of the Peace like me is often one - so that it can be used for the relevant purpose you have in mind. So if youre applying to be allowed to travel out of the country, youd need to explain why that travel is essential. I am travelling to xyz because I have a job waiting for me, as the supporting evidence demonstrates is, for example, rather more likely to get your application approved than I am travelling to xyz because I havent had a holiday in a while and would like one.
